Buffalo

Buffalo
Written By: Leon Elam

Staring off into Buffalo, what’s looking at me back thru my window?
Something of familiarity, don’t want to think to myself, might be the likes of me

Buried underneath a mountain of snow
Fighting for air but nobody notices

Sink back to my hotel room red light blinks phone calls from you
Wondering where I may have been, I’ll make up a lie won’t get caught again

Looking for another late night fix
Tired and broke can’t get out of this mess

On the road is where I live, but back home I got a wife and kids
Driving to stay between two lines dividing myself between whats theirs and mine

Fighting time before the curtains close
Buried below we go where nobody notices

Laying round Lake Michigan, Oh, these thoughts are creeping up again
Realizing that you’re all I know sitting alone in the moonlit glow

Fighting time before the curtains close
Buried below we go where nobody notices

Old habits never really die, you suppress em for a while then you wonder why
There’s more to me than I’d like to admit, I try to lie to myself and force forget

Fighting time before the curtains close
Buried below we go where nobody notices

Oh, nobody notices
